New Release from No Question

No Question came out in 1999 in a time where there was no pro tools, or auto tune the recorded there album on 2inch tape as Dante recalls man I was 16 years old when we got that deal with Philadelphia International Records. But that was not our first deal we got signed in 1997 to Columbia records by Corey Rooney who Produced Mariah Carey and Tommy Matola We Participated in a showcase for Sony and they gave us a singles deal and in the contract it stated that if we sold a few thousand single we could go in and make an album. 45 days after signing the deal Michael Malden became the President of Black music. Michael is Jermaine Dupri’s father and needles to say they shelft us and put out Jagged Edge, whome we became fans of. Anyway it took several months to get a release Corey Rooney felt like the whole situation was wrong therefore because he is a man of integrity he went directly to leagal and got our release.90 days later we were signing a contract with Philadelphia International records.
At the time there was only 3 members of the group Damon jerCore Thomas Blackwell and myself. Nick Johnson was not a member. Thomas and myself both knew nick from the West Philadelphia area and we had mutual friends. On New Years Eve 1998 the group decided to go to church and I ask nick to come and Damon JerCore came to Thomas and me and said lets put him in the group. At the time nick had Blonde hair and I remember Damon saying to Nick you have to change that hair. Nick wasn’t thrilled but he did it and we decided to be a four-man group.

Dante is Currently Working on his solo Project and its being Executive Produced by Chuck Gamble and Damon JerCore and I had the opportunity to see Dante Perform on a Boat Called THE BELL its 4 floors and beautiful I remember thinking to myself that this kid is better than Most Solo R&B Artist .He Sang a song that Made me think of Michael Jackson call Fall from Heaven and followed it by a song Called SupaDupa man and it was a show stopper its been a long time since I heard a new artist with no Major Deal have woman screaming like this. He is an absolute superstar.

A few weeks later I saw footage on Youtube with Nick and Damon Clowning around and then I saw Nick Damon and Dante singing “Do What You Gotta Do” and it compelled me to do this interview. When I reached out to interview Nick Johnson he began to tell me about his Alter Ego Nick Kane … Nick Kane is the street Singer who rap sings about the Ghetto perspective of the hood. I saw Nick Perform a few songs with his brother Southwest Syn and the crowd went wild Southwest syn was the first rapper I’ve seen Dressed in a suit with Gucci shoes well dressed all swag. I was most impressed with Nick Kane’s Project he picking up where Gerald Levert and Luther left off… I asked Nick the hard question why did u get kicked out of the group. He said back then I was wilding out coming late missing planes being a problem. When I look back I could have had more respect for my group members But the Management we had was awful One Guy Vance was OK but his Partner Khan Jamal was not right. The whole group hated him. Thomas claims it was him that wanted be out so bad but I don’t know ask Damon

We caught up with Damon JerCore @ The Grammy’s hanging out with Ceelo Green and he set up an interview .We were surprised To see him there No entourage well Dressed and so Down to earth. We started off asking him will the group do any more music? He replied Im not sure it takes a whole lot of hard work being an artist and Im not sure I want to do that any more. I began to tell him how the fns Missed the group and he didn’t really believe me so I took him online and showed him over 50,000 fans still ask about more music we looked for at least 2 hrs and then he said do you want to hear something…

He pulled out a laptop and began to play me a song called proud to be your man and kiss your lips and No More and I was floored these songs sound like they just did them Damon informed me that these songs were done in 2001-2002 I could not believe him. I asked Damon to clear the air of the current state of No Question he Said and I quote Thomas, Dante, and Nick are My Brothers For Life and if there is anything I can Do to help there Current situations I will with No hesitation. As Far as this Music All of them have said that they would like Do one more Project so I will consider Doing so for The Fans. Im working on several projects including Nick and Dante solo Project and there are some dates the 2 will be doing Thomas is doing a Showcase @ Mill Creek Tavern and I will Attend on April 24th 2010 to support my brother maybe we all will attend but sometime after that We may release a free Album online for the Fans Threw Hulk Share and Datpiff.com so it you are really a fan Email us @ no.question@rocketmail.com and we will send u a free copy of music… in the meantime check out these youtube links
