New releases from Bonaldo at the 2009 Milan furniture fair now available at Go Modern

Salone Mobile is Europe’s largest furniture fair, & every year the cream of the worlds furniture designers showcase their very latest products to the industry. The only problem is that most of the pieces on show are so new they are not yet available, & some will never be developed. Products usually take many months to make their way to the market, however Go Modern are usually among the first to introducer new designs.

At this year’s Salone Mobile they presented some existing pieces reworked in different materials, & some brand new designs, with the theme ‘Simplicity.’

Pieces include the ’Layer’ table, an extending glass table in a clean light design, with glass legs, & the ’Mille’ table with a glass top & a cluster of many cylindrical chrome legs - in the words of the designer “studying the rhythm & proportions between full & empty spaces to obtain a design that seemed instinctively right – like trees in a forest.”

Also showing was the ’Giotto’ bed, a fabric or leather covered contemporary bed set on a round rotating platform, appearing suspended in the air. Designed to have a ‘New York’ feel this beautiful bed is clearly ‘designer’ yet versatile enough for most contemporary homes.
