FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 16, 2010 --
Livermore, CA – January 16, 2010 – Expanding the Voyage-Air line of the world’s best folding travel guitars is the new Songwriter-04 series of acoustic guitars. Building on the solid reputation established by the existing Songwriter™ OM and Dreadnought guitars, the new Songwriter-04 series instruments match key features, offer a stunning new look, and ring the register at far more affordable prices.
Tops for the refinements on the Songwriter-04 series are the tops themselves: Solid Spruce tonewood supported by advanced X-bracing, and finished with a knockout Jet-Black gloss finish. Elegant white single-ply top and back binding contrasts the lush sheen of the select Mahogany back and sides.
The result? A beautiful, retro-vibe guitar that will stand out, while being comfortable to play, and with the sound that you can only get from a solid-wood top. These guitars are a great value!
Adrian Bagale, COO of Voyage-Air Guitar, helped nail down the refinements of these unique guitars: “Solid top wood makes a difference for any acoustic guitar,” said Bagale. “The solid Spruce we’ve chosen for the Songwriter-04 series makes a huge difference in the tone. These guitars are fearless: they project, and you can really play them loud. Oh, and they have a rich, harmonic sound. With crisp, articulated detail.”
Completing the appointments on these guitars are features common to other Voyage-Air instruments: Solid Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, inlaid soundhole rosette, solid Mahogany neck with Rosewood heel cap, the distinctive Voyage-Air pickguard in matching black, the proprietary Voyage-Air captured nut, a compensated saddle, and chrome-plated, die-cast Schaller-style tuners.
Voyage-Air Guitar introduces two new Songwriter-04 guitar models at the 2010 NAMM Show:
Model VAOM-04. This is a full-size ‘OM-style’ acoustic guitar. Regarded by many players as a comfortable shape for an acoustic guitar, this design flatters finger-style playing, with a traditional 1- ¾” nut width and 24-3/4” scale length. The solid Spruce top delivers clear, articulate tone that responds vividly to any style of play.
Model VAMD-04. Here’s a classic Dreadnought shape that’s slightly reduced in size: 15/16 that of a normal Dreadnought guitar. This makes for a comfortable size that gives up nothing when hitting fast strumming and quick chord changes. The fingerboard is full-size, with a 1-11/16” nut width and 24-3/4” scale length. The solid Spruce top means this guitar can get LOUD when you dig into the strings, and can still respond to the subtleties of the most delicate touch.
