New Studio in Long Valley to Host Bands, Groups and Classes for All Ages and Abilities

Long Valley is excited about the new Studio/ Rehearsal and Concert Venue that Valley Music Center is opening this June. The surrounding community will be offered the opportunity to participate in numerous musical and artistic ventures. Valley Music Center will be offering a community Concert Band and Orchestra for folks of all ages. For those of you who have your instruments in the closet, Dave and George, the owners at Valley Music Center, would like to encourage you to get it out and return to your “glory days” as a player. The owners wish that they had a dime for every time they hear, “I wish that I would have continued to play”. Well, now is the time for our community to have the opportunity to never look back in regret.

Other classes and workshops that are going to be offered are: Beginner Band and Orchestra for students who have never played, but have always wanted to. All ages are encouraged to sign up. A community Jazz/Big Band will be meeting each week as well. David White, former lead Trumpet in the US Army Band, will be leading this group. He is looking forward to getting people out to explore all styles of Jazz. George is excited to invite folks in for the weekly Fiddle Club sessions. This group will be planning a trip to Ireland/Scotland for the summer of 2012. The plan is to have the students perform at the Edinburgh International Music Festival as well as doing a host of local performances leading up to the trip. If you enjoy Celtic, Blue Grass, Ol’ Timey and other styles of classic fiddle music, this is the group that you want to be in. This group will not only have “Fiddle Players”, but Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Banjo, Accordion, Tin Whistle, Flute, Percussion and more. So, if you are looking for a great night out, George would love to have you be part of this organization.
If you are a singer, you will be interested in the New “Show Choir”. This summer we will be doing the Best of Disney and Broadway! There will be groups for all ages. Check it out! Keyboard and Guitar group classes will also be available for young and “seasoned” folks alike. Children’s programs will also be available throughout the year. There are so many offerings that the entire family can participate.

The owners of Valley Music Center are also excited to offer the community the space to host all varieties of Visual and Performing Arts workshops and seminars. If you are a local artist who is looking for a place to display your art work or host a workshop, please get in touch with George or Dave to set up a date to host your show. If you are a local musician or band that is looking for a venue to host a performance, this will be a great place for you to get recognized in our local area. The venue will have a professional sound and light set up as well as a great stage to present your talents. There will be plenty of seating to invite all of your friends to see your performance. Theater groups are also invited to investigate our facility to host your presentations. If you have a creative idea…….bring it to this new venue and get our community out to see your talent! It has been the dream of Dave and George to make Valley Music Center and its newest facility like “Cheers”! We want to have a place “Where everybody knows your name”! This new venue is an opportunity for Long Valley and the community at large to come together and enjoy people once again. Put down the cell phone, put away the laptop, turn off the TV and get down to the NEW Valley Music Center studio.
