New Superhero Emerges

September 5, 2010

Adrian Quihuis is an exceptional actor. Not only does he play fifteen roles in his new movie, he is his own costumer, barber and trainer. It takes an actor of Adrian's ability to actually make a movie

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 5, 2010 --

You’ve seen them all: Ironman, Spiderman, Superman, Mighty Mouse, Superboy, Wonder Woman, Batman, Professor X, and X-Man, not to mention a host of new superheroes. We’re betting that you haven’t heard of the newest superhero. In fact, he’s gone to great lengths to conceal his very existence with extraordinary success. Clark Kent changed in a phone booth. This guy is so pathetic that he changes in an old abandoned refrigerator. The most admirable thing about this superhero is that he protects and serves the lowest rung on the entertainment ladder—extras. These are people their own relatives reject. He brings them water, chairs to sit on, he enforces the rules of civility on a movie set. The only people who care are the extras, and they don’t count. So they need a champion by the name of Xtra-Man. He personifies humility, strength, persistence, and the ability to fly great distances in a simple montage. He is destined to be listed right there at the bottom of all the superheroes, but he is proud, well, he is sort of proud to be even pointed out.

The real life alter-ego is a quirky actor Adrian Quihuis. Adrian says he is all about pushing and stretching the boundaries of possibilities and going past them. He claims to have the vision to see invisible things, as an actor, writer, filmmaker, performer, and adventure man. “Yes the world is a stage, and I’m dancing all over it. My life is a play and if you’re lucky, you are watching it.” From turning into the Hulk at the Apollo to running the streets of Beverly Hills as a superhero to dressing up as Darth Maul at a Harry Potter event, Adrian turns heads wherever he goes. He recently played the leading man in two other feature films: GO WEST!, and ON A DARK AND STORMY NIGHT. The films are either going straight to DVD, hitting the festival circuit, or in deep discussions with distribution companies. He’s is getting ready to shoot THE PATHETICALLY CHEAP ADVENTURES OF BOXING-MAN later this year (more about that in the next article in our series.) He’s very excited about his play that is being produced in New York, called Honey, The Worlds are At War. He performs weekly with his improv troupe, or with Turtle Beer (don’t ask) or his one man improv show, The Adrian Quihuis Experience. He also performs around town doing alternative stand up comedy or performance art. His main focus is shooting, editing, and conjuring his 3 to 4 hour avant-garde dark foreign absurd comedy film, where he plays 9 characters and pushes the limits of imagination, creation, and innovation, it is called UNTITLED.

When asked to comment on Adrian’s participation in XTRA-MAN, Adrian’s unnamed publicist put it all on the line: “If you see just one movie this year, you should see this one, too!”

You can get a glimpse of Adrian at a local mall or in the trailer for THE PATHETICALLY CHEAP ADVENTURES OF XTRA-MAN at the website: http://www.PatheticallyCheapAdventures.com
