The Sydney based band have received some notoriety, while appearing in DRUM MEDIA and receiving some media acclaim while still in their first year. The band is one to watch, combining the creditability of belonging to the Metal scene while opening up the doors to a more middle-of-the-road fan base with their melodic infusions.

In an bold step away from the conventions of the Metal scene, Lie Dormant look to step away from the more generic connotations and take the music in a more thought-provoking area. Still maintaining a deep subject matter, while shying away from the negative and dark associations.
With there incredibly eclectic sound from unplugged through to thrash Lie Dormant wish to add dynamics to their music not previously engaged with by other Metal acts. This in mind they have very a clear identity.

They are taking big risks and walking a fine line but so far getting away with it and if they can continue this way, will be a significant force for the Sydney music scene.
This year is expected to be the year for LIE DORMANT, who are aiming for maximum live exposure backed up by a wide angled media campaign. Rumours of involvement with Channel TEN and ONE HD for music rights are yet to be confirmed.
