FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New YORK ,New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 14, 2010 -- Insurance companies have been all over the headlines recently, suspected of valuing profit margins above the needs of their customers. That makes the plot of "Terminal Policy," Liam McCurry's new thriller novel, all the more scary - and possible.

In the book, one avenging terrorist is bent on death and destruction when his group obtains a list of those covered by one of the world's largest insurance companies. The group begins brutally terminating random people and places: Millions may cease to exist, instantly and violently, from small shopkeepers to millionaires, simply because they are insured. An oil derrick gets blown up in "Terminal Policy," long before the BP explosion.
Readers who thrive on intrigue, romance, torture, sex, death, green chile and Irish whiskey will love protagonist Beverly Martin Raker (although no one has called him Beverly more than once). They'll follow him from Manhattan executive offices to exotic locations around the globe as the insurance company attempts to outpace the terrorists and thwart their plans.
Author McCurry has held many jobs: U.S. Marine, psychologist, computer consultant, classical pianist, TV weatherman and - he admits with some reluctance - insurance salesman.

"We once were selling insurance to ranchers in New Mexico, where there's a lot of open land," he says. "We told them they could make a lot of money by investing a little bit in the insurance game, and we took care of those investments. We never stepped across the line, legally, but I think we crowded it. So, yeah, I was one of the bad guys for a while, and I felt very guilty about it."
McCurry is currently completing his next thriller, tentatively titled "Ulster Ultimatum," and has his third and fourth books "incubating" in his home on the Monterey, CA peninsula.

"Terminal Policy" is available as a hardcover and for Kindle on Amazon.com. Autographed copies and the author-narrated CD and MP3 audiobooks are available only from http://www.terminalpolicy.com, where holiday specials are now offered.
