FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — March 2009 — ITSM Academy announced today they are a founding member of a newly formed trade organization that promotes quality standards for ITSM training. The Accredited Training Council Trade Association (ATCTA) aims to serve as the voice of its membership, including avocation for transparency and accountability on issues that directly impact ITSM professionals.
A collection of companies specializing in effective IT training recognized the need for a trade association amid the growing importance of ITSM on business competitiveness and the lack of an authoritative voice on ITSM certification and skills training. These founding partners include: Benchmark Learning, Global Knowledge, InterProm USA, ITSM Academy and SED-IT.
According to Jayne Groll, the ATCTA's President and Membership / Events Chair, a primary goal was to provide customers with confidence in the form of the ATCTA Trustmark. According to Groll, “Quality ITSM training is a critical success factor for successful service management adoption – there is just too much at stake. Training is about more than passing a certification exam – it is a about developing actionable skills. The ATCTA’s Code of Conduct promotes high standards for sustainable learning and delivering customer value.”
The ATCTA have developed a set of operating, delivery and quality controls to ensure not only the highest quality training, but to promote the most effective skills transfer possible. The goal is to promote training from proven company’s that deliver real, measurable improvements to the student’s organization and business.
