New Walk-In Medical Center—The Doctor is IN™— Opens in the Heart of Worcester to Treat Minor Ailments, Injuries, and More

Worcester, MA, The Doctor is IN™ is a new walk-in medical center that treats minor ailments, injuries and medical issues that are not serious enough for the emergency room. It was established to offer people of all ages in the Worcester area access to convenient medical services that are of non-emergency in nature especially when their regular doctors are unavailable – specifically in the evenings and on Saturdays. Nestled on Park Avenue near the historic Elm Park, The Doctor is IN offers state of the art medical care in a warm, cozy neighborhood-style office, where you get personal medical attention when most doctors’ offices are closed.

The center is founded by Dr. T Bryan Miller, a Board Certified Family Physician, who has been practicing medicine for the last 10 years. Dr. Miller states, “One of the reasons the medical expenses are so high in Massachusetts is that many individuals are tying up the Emergency Rooms at hospitals for ailments that are of a non-emergency nature. I realized recently that there is a need for a walk in clinic to help treat a variety of ailments that don’t need emergency care, especially when your doctor’s office is closed.” Miller continues, “We are happy to provide your personal care doctor with a report on your visit, including diagnosis, treatment recommendations and a list of any medications that were prescribed. We are here to work with the medical community in tandem to care for their patients during hours when most offices are closed and the only other option was the emergency room.”

Most visits at The Doctor is IN are $40. Insurance is not accepted. but medical treatment records are provided so that you can submit them to your insurance provider for reimbursement. All ages are welcome for minor ailments such as cough/colds, flu, sore throat, ear infection, allergies, rashes, urinary tract infections, stitches, athletic injuries and more. Dr. Miller doesn’t turn anyone away if they don’t have insurance. Miller states, “For those in need, our center is open to care for them.”

The Doctor is IN operates 6 days week, from Monday—Friday in the evenings and Saturday mornings. No appointment is necessary, but you can call ahead if you need to speak to Dr. Miller prior to making your appointment. Dr. Miller cautions, “If you are experiencing chest pains or true emergencies, you must go to the emergency room, we will not be able to treat you.”
