Building upon the belief that the Internet will someday obsolete the Television Networks as we know them today, BITNET decided to begin aggregating content that can be watched on demand and online without having to search for content across the multitude of sites on the Internet today. BITNET believes that today, users who enjoy content that has been traditionally labeled as "Black", have to tune in to stations like BET to watch video content on Television or have to search for content online but across so many sites that things have become unmanageable. "When users go online they have to go to YouTube, Veveo, Vimeo, MTV.com, VH1.com and a number of other sites. Because everyone wants in on the rush to provide online video content to consumers all of these sites have popped up but none of them are exclusively focusing on content appealing to those who enjoy Black content.
