New York City Chapter of the Real Estate Staging Association Elects Board Members

The New York City chapter of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA), recently elected members to serve on its Board for the upcoming fiscal year.

The New York City chapter of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA), a member-governed, organization for Home Stagers in North America, announced the election of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of Membership to serve on the local chapter’s Board for the 2011-2012 fiscal year.
The 26 members of the local chapter are primarily home stagers based mostly in New York City, with some members hailing from Westchester, Connecticut and Long Island. The members were called upon to vote for a slate of officers and a Director of Membership.
James Hart of Sold With Style based in Yonkers, New York, was the incumbent President and was elected to serve another term. The President’s primary responsibilities are to preside at local Board and chapter meetings, appoint all committees, except the Nominating Committee, which is subject to
approval by the local Board, and to facilitate the management of the chapter.
Tori Toth of Stylish Stagers based in Queens, New York was elected to serve as Vice President. The Vice President assumes the responsibilities and duties of the President when the President is
unavailable, and also oversees the chapter’s committee chairs, as well as collects nominations for the annual election of Board positions and distributes ballots and proxies to the chapter membership.
Incumbent William Hoar of Wilton Associates based in Manhattan, was elected as Secretary. The role of the Secretary is to record the minutes of chapter and Board meetings.
Donna Dazzo of Designed to Appeal based in Manhattan, was the incumbent Treasurer and was elected to serve another term. The Treasurer has custody of the funds of the chapter and handles the chapter’s banking needs.
Kara Woods of Stage to Move of Danbury, Connecticut, was elected as Director of Membership and is accountable for the recruitment and retention of members of the chapter.
The Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) is a member- governed trade association for Home Stagers. RESA was formed in order to support all professional real estate stagers also known as home stagers in North America. RESA is a portal to the home staging industry and is a source of education and business tools focusing on the needs of home stagers. Members create chapters in their area which serve as a resource for their local real estate community.
