New York Parkour Featured on Bravo TV show: Work of Art

Manhattan, New York, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 17, 2011 -- Manhattan, New York, USA. New York Parkour (NYPK), a professional
parkour organization based in New York City and the Tri-State area, was recently
featured on Bravo’s art inspired TV show, Work of Art. NYPK was approached by
Bravo TV to inspire the artists as they completed their most recent challenge based
on movement. The episode aimed to motivate the artists with a truly unique form of
movement and action, one often likened to an art itself.
NYPK was hired to provide the stunt work for the episode including flips,

vaults, and climbs up walls. Seven members from NYPK’s Representative and Junior
Representative teams were chosen to provide the stunts, choreograph a routine,
and work with the director to deliver an effective piece. Footage for the episode
took place in the early morning at a park in SoHo, near Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
Here NYPK was given free reign to choreograph a series of stunts that would have
the necessary visual impact that the director was seeking. The routine aimed to be
energetic and powerful and, despite less than ideal weather conditions, NYPK was

able to create a routine that utilized the entire space and realized the director’s
original vision. In the end, the contestants were surprised and amazed at NYPK’s
stunt work, inspiring them for their most recent challenge. Later, additional footage
was shot in the same park for use in post-production.
New York Parkour has long been the go-to company for parkour related
stunt work in commercials, TV shows, movies, live performances, music videos, and
more. In addition, NYPK is the provider of the longest running parkour specific
teaching program that safely introduces beginners to the art of parkour with

specific parkour exercises and movements. The NYPK community continues to
