Openhouse Gallery's Park Here is attracting New Yorkers and tourists of all ages. The free pop-up park is open daily from noon to 8 pm with WiFi, hammocks, picnic blankets, food vendors and games.

Winter is in full swing, and that means Park Here is too. Every day, hundreds of New Yorkers head down to Openhouse Gallery at 201 Mulberry to escape winter and enjoy the free indoor pop-up park. The park is open from noon to 8 pm daily and features plush custom-made grass, beautiful murals, bursting foliage, picnic blankets, oversized bean bags, picnic benches, hammocks and bistro tables. Park Here also has free WiFi, food vendors, a badminton lawn, movie nights, tea tastings and trivia competitions. Plus, it’s always 75 degrees.

http://www.parkhere.info Park Here is open until February 15 and is a collaboration between Openhouse Gallery and more than 30 partners. “We really wanted to build a place for New Yorkers to escape winter and enjoy nature. I always say we got the idea from nature,” says Openhouse Creative Director Jon Daou.
Joining Openhouse Gallery are partners Fatboy USA, LAFCO/Santa Maria Novella, NewGrass, American Foliage, MagicMurals.com and Party Up Productions. Food vendors include Filled With Sweets, Hong Kong Street Cart, Intoxicating Confections, Lizzmonade, Mimi and Coco NY, Nolita Mart & Espresso Bar, Perfect Picnic NYC, Robicelli’s, Snap Food Truck, Stuffed Artisan Cannolis, The Jam Stand and YaYa Tea Garden.
In its second year, Openhouse Gallery’s pop-up park is attracting New Yorkers and tourists of all ages to Park Here. Gary Howell, a local, says it’s “Genuine and genius.” Victoria L. says it “Feels like we are in a real garden. Our secret garden in the city.” Rosalie and Krissia write in the guest book, “Thank you for saving us from the cold! Brrr. Bye :)”
Each morning, Park Here is open exclusively for moms, nannies and their children. Mommy Mornings features yoga, singalongs, fresh food, arts and crafts and soccer schools, too. Partners include Junior’s Fresh, House of Jem, Baby Bites, 100% GumDrop, Bowery Babes, Mom Trends, A Singalong with Ryan, Yogi Beans, The Rockdoves and Stroller in the City.
