NewcastleTruth.com launches new Political Blog site

Nathan Clarke, the chief writer and site owner is ecstatic that the site is ready to go.
"Its really exciting to get to this point as Newcastletruth.com will bring something to
the readership that Newcastle has yet to experience, and that is to get to the bottom of
the local political scene and to tell the public what is really driving the issues in
Newcastle"

Nathan insists Newcastle Truth is more than the usual blog sites that litter the internet
"What makes Newcastletruth.com different is that it is totally Newcastle focused.
Newcastle Truth does not just comment on the news but investigates the news, talks
to the main players, be it Councilors, local MP's and community group leaders to get
the full story.
"I have become increasingly more frustrated with the leadership of Newcastle, not
just the elected leadership but the lobby groups trying to hold Council representatives
over a barrel" Nathan admits. "Newcastle Truth is to get behind the story, to get to

the truth on both sides of the argument to give the Newcastle public what they
deserve, absolute accountability to both elected representatives plus the self
appointed lobby group leaders.

Legitimacy may be an issue early on but Nathan sees this more as an opportunity
rather then a threat to his blog model. "It's true, early on there may be some
legitimacy issues in getting responses from some sectors. As ratepayer and taxpayer I
would expect responses from these leaders if I was writing an article or not, The
community and lobby group leaders may see legitimacy as an issue but their role is to

get their story out so I am very comfortable with the planned format"

Nathan also sees the readership as the most important part of the process. "I am doint
the entire site for the readers, for the ratepayers of Newcastle. Real legitimacy comes
from the readers. The readers are the ones that demand the stories and demand

answered. There are comment sections and i am easily contacted. If there is an issue
the people want investigated or questions answered, i'm hoping to be that median go
get the results."
