Australia, Commonwealth of -- Free-Press-Release.com-- Jan 5, 2011 -- Jamie Laou is what many are referring to as The Australian Justin Bieber. Laou is said to be 17-years old and was "discovered" on YouTube.

Jamie Laou started posting videos to YouTube in April 2010 and has attracted close to a quarter million views on his page, as well as reaching over 50,000 followers on Twitter.

Even he is surprised by his sudden fame, "Whenever I got on webcam on different sites, little girls would cry. It was crazy."

Laou claims that although he acknowledges he looks somewhat like Beiber, he is not trying to copy the pop icon, "I'm just a teenage kid that has cool hair."

In the wake of his sudden fame, Laou has been receiving threats from Beiber fans - particularly when Laou takes to singing JB songs in his videos, or in one instance calling out Beiber for losing touch with his fans.

Beiber, however, claims he has no hard feelings towards Laou saying, "I don't have any problems with you and I actually appreciate your support."
