(Free-Press-Release.com) October 28, 2010 --
Film Annex, online film distribution platform and Web TV Network, is pleased to announce that the international judoka Nick Kossor won the gold medal at this year’s New York Open Judo Championship, which took place on October 17th, 2010. Film Annex launched a web channel for the judo champion, www.NickKossor.com, to showcase Kossor’s competition videos and raise funds through its advertising network to sponsor the athlete in his future endeavors.
Francesco Rulli, the president of Film Annex and a judoka himself, described his initiative to create a web channel for Nick Kossor as “a way to raise awareness for the sport of Judo and support Kossor financially in his judo career.” As the number one judoka at 60 kilograms, Kossor is now the recipient of the “Outstanding Competitor Honor” in addition to the gold medal he won at the NY Open Judo 2010. "I’m still on a high from winning the event,” Kossor said about his win. “It’s such a big confidence boost. I’m really looking forward to using this momentum in later events at the close of the year. Everyone involved was so supportive to make it happen, and for that I’m grateful."
In addition to being one of the sponsors at this year’s NY Judo Open, Film Annex documented the tournament by filming the competitions and having on-camera interviews with the athletes. Moreover, Film Annex hosted several judokas, including Nick Kossor, in its offices to create docufiction videos that can be watched on www.JudoArts.com. The videos merge footage from the competitions with on-camera recitations from Dante Alighieri’s classic, The Inferno. This video collection portrays the judokas as warriors and adds significant entertainment value to the sport of judo. You can watch Nick Kossor’s video on his web channel.
Viewers do not have to sign up to Film Annex in order to watch the videos, however if they want to add comments and interact with Kossor, they will be asked to log into the Film Annex network. Support Nick Kossor today by visiting his web channel at www.NickKossor.com.
