Nigerian men chosen as the most attractive for European women

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 15, 2011 -- More than 35 000 women from 20 countries were asked to name men from which country are the most attractive in online poll conducted by MoboFree.com (www.mobofree.com). Participants of this study have also highlighted main factors why guys from different countries look attractive or why they do not.

Main target of survey was to discover how traditional stereotypes about specific country men sexuality, flirt ability and other traits work in mobile environment. “It’s a big difference to meet a person in a real life and to talk to him in mobile dating site or chat. In virtual life appearance is not so important and other factors can become more significant – such as ability to express thoughts nicely and consistently in writing, ability to stand out from others in a short time and ability to make good first impression. Because in virtual space it is not easy to get a second chance: if you like a girl in real life you can try to approach her several times. In mobile website bad first impression usually means that your messages will not be read in the future at all or even worse – you will be blocked by a person you like.“ – says Neringa Pazusyte, MoboFree Business Development Manager.

“By making this survey we were expecting that the most popular will be guys from the same country as respondent is” – said Neringa Pazusyte. It seemed natural as usually girls have more experience in communicating with guys from the same country. And naturally more experience in the whole also means more positive experience. Also French guys stereotypically known as the most gallant flirt masters were expected to get high rankings.

But results were a little bit different. Women identified Nigerians, Ghanians and Russians as the TOP attractive men. Kenyans are in top 4th and French boys appeared on 5th position. Nigerians were identified as the most attractive men by 31 % of European, 12 % Asian, 33% African and 8 % American girls.

Several factors of Nigerians attractiveness were mentioned more often:
1. Nigerian men are extremely polite and tactful.
2. They know how to make compliments and are good in flirt.
3. Nigerian men are good to talk at any topic.

“Usually people on wap chats are not tended to go to deep discussions about serious things and conversations are limited with light topics like “how was your day” or “how are you doing”? I was impressed by my experience with 2 new friends from Nigeria. It does not happen very often to meet guy who during first conversation is asking about my studies, my leisure and is ready to discuss about anything – starting from newest music hits and ending on global problems, like tsunami in Japan” - wrote Juana, 23 years old student from Lithuania – one of respondents.

“I don’t like compliments related only to my appearance. I want to know that my body is not the only thing that is important for boy. So I give 5 stars to my Nigerian friends who can always cheer up me with nice notices about my personality” – noticed another girl from Spain during survey.

During survey there were also discovered many factors about what behavior looks unattractive for girls from all over the world, despite of nationality of a man. 72 % of girls mentioned that they usually reject men who start conversation from asking for a phone number; 98 % mentioned that they tend to block members who are sending naked pictures of their own during the first conversation; 61% of girls tend to discontinue acquaintance with people who admits falling in love during the first week and 22 % of girls never replies to very short messages without any information, like “hi”, “Hello, how are you”, etc.

“So the recipe for attraction of girls’ attention in mobile web is quite simple – patience and focus on knowing each other better before making any love admits or asking personal details like phone number; ability to keep interesting conversation and avoiding of any vulgar comments or actions are key factors for good start” – says Neringa Pazusyte, MoboFree Business Development Manager. “Maybe in future we will put results of this survey in some kind of tips for guys how to attract a girl or gain new good friends via Mobile Internet – I think it can be quite interesting for our users” – says Ms. Neringa.
