FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 3, 2010 -- Easton, PA- Despite a troubled auto-industry and decrease in consumer spending, Brown Daub Kia is reporting record sales, profits and employment growth at their Easton, PA store this year. Vice President Tom Ring credits the dealership’s massive growth to the quality and affordability of Kia’s vehicles, in addition to “unique” relationship-based marketing techniques implemented by auto dealer.

Specifically, Brown Daub Kia broke dealership records in the following areas

• New car sales up 41.6%
• Used car sales up 12.6%

• Service dept repair orders up 22.4%
• Service gross up 20.9%
• Total sales increased 23.4%

In addition to record sales and profits for the dealer, Brown Daub Kia also added five, full-time employees to their team as opposed to laying off their sales force similar to other local dealers.

“I believe the numbers at our local Leigh Valley dealership are indicative of the future for Kia Motors,” says Tom Ring, Vice President of Brown Daub Kia. “The cars are affordable, reliable and aesthetically appealing, even for buyers who aren’t on a budget,” he adds.

Yet besides crediting the manufacturer for producing great cars at a time when Americans expect more car and better performance for their money, Ring also credits his “unique” approach to marketing, which he believes made a difference in the dealer’s bottom line and the growth they experienced this year.

“What’s changed in this new economy is that people want to do business with people—not large corporations. Recognizing this, the entire Brown-Daub team just went back to the basics of forging authentic relationships with the community and our customers. I judged air guitar contents, served as a presenter/auctioneer at the Lehigh Valley Music Awards, I dressed up in a speedo and went into a dunk tank to raise money for Lehigh schools and even gave away a car—no string attached, which ultimately paid off in terms of revenue this year,” notes Ring.

And contrary to other dealerships, Brown Daub Kia increased its advertising budget in 2009 by way of radio advertising and having a large internet presence with the help of their blog, www.kissyourmotherinlaw.com, in addition to active social media sites.

“I'm a just a regular guy married with 4 children and I have the same hopes, fears, wishes, and bills that everyone else has. The auto industry had a huge shake-up this year, but we determined to be different, no matter where it took us. Not to mention, my whole family is involved in marketing my business. If I fail...We fail, it’s just that simple.”
