If you are planning to market your residential property for sale, you will require a Home Information Pack ( HIP ).

Home Information Packs vary in price, but most have to be paid for in advance.

Pali have now introduced the ‘No Sale No Fee Home Information Pack’. You pay a deposit of £30.00 upfront, if the property sells within nine months you pay the balance on sale, if the property fails to sell within nine months, you can claim all of your money back. What’s more you get to keep the HIP and continue to market your property, in essence you will have a FREE HIP!

The property must be continuously marketed for the nine months. Further Terms and Conditions apply and are available on request.

Home Information Packs were introduced in 2007 to speed up the conveyancing process and give potential buyers more information up front about the properties they were interested in. The Hips received a mixed response from property professionals. The main criticism was it delayed properties being marketed and put potential sellers off marketing their property as they had to pay up front for the Home Information Pack. With this new offering Pali have addressed both of those issues. Sellers now only need to spend £30 up front and all being well, Pali can have a property ready to market within 24 hours of receiving instruction. In fact on Tuesday 2nd March 2010, Pali had a property legally marketable within 1 hour 20 minutes of receiving the instruction, a feet not managed by many.
