This March London's Nonclassical record label is brining its alternative 'classical club night' to SXSW

This March we’re off to America’s legendary SXSW festival for the second time! Gabriel Prokofiev will be joined by the newest addition to our label, the Juice Vocal Ensemble, in presenting a special NONCLASSICAL showcase at SXSW, the world’s busiest and most diverse festival of new music. As well as playing tracks from Nonclassical artists (including selections from Juice’s forthcoming debut album – more on that later), we’ve got a hefty list of collaborators growing every day, including composer Graham Reynolds and ground-breaking percussionist Owen Weaver. Here’s the full details:

CONFIRMED ACTS:
Juice | British vocal trio mixing modern classical with folk and gospel
Volodja Balzalorsky | Slovenian violinist
Tosca String Quartet | Austin-based ensemble – work with David Byrne, Terry Bozzio
Graham Reynolds | Composer including scores for films such as A Scanner Darkly
Owen Weaver | Percussionist and found sound innovator
Gabriel Prokofiev (DJ sets) | Mixing modern composition with cutting edge beats from hip-hop, dubstep and more

It looks set to be a spectacular night and one hell of a festival, so if you’re stateside in March, please come and join us! On top of all this, we’ll be joining other groups and collectives throughout the festival for their own showcases, so look out for guest appearances too.
