Nova Medical Centers strengthens Management Team with 6 high profile appointments

September 28th 2011, Bangalore: Nova Medical Centers, India’s leading Ambulatory Surgery Group, today announced the induction of six distinguished management professionals to lead the company into its next phase of growth. Dr. Rajen Ghadiok is joining Nova as Executive Director, Medical Strategy, while Dr. Sameer Khan will be the new COO. Sunil Kapur is joining Nova as Director, Business Development, Mr. Naresh Rao will take charge as the CFO and Malvika Varma as Vice President, Nova. In a related development, Dr. Gayatri Ghadiok is joining Nova Pulse, the IVF business venture of Nova.

Dr. Rajen Ghadiok comes to Nova with over 30 years experience in the healthcare industry. He is a Cardiac Anesthesiologist by training and is a greatly respected name in the medical community. He has been Head, Cardio - Thoracic Anesthesiology Department at Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, Director - Medical Operations - Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre and most recently was Vice President - Medical Strategy & Operations & Group Ethics Counsellor at Fortis.

Dr. Sameer Khan is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in managing Strategy, Medical Operations, Projects, Technology Management, Hospital Planning and Profit Centre Operations. He has been associated with Fortis Healthcare as Director, Medical Technology and Planning and has also worked with Apollo Hospital Group and Border Security Force.

Sunil Kapur is a veteran Sales and Marketing professional with 30 years of experience. His earlier stints, among others, have been with Fortis Healthcare as Chief of Sales, RG Stone as COO and Apollo Hospitals as General Manager, Marketing. Malvika Varma an integration specialist and an expert in start ups and strategic capability building has led the HR function for Fortis Healthcare right from its inception and has seen its growth from its first unit to its current growth. She has also been with Care India as their Director of Human Resources and has had a stint with Max Healthcare as VP - HR, prior to joining Nova.

A seasoned Finance Professional with over 16 years of experience across IT, ITES & Supply Chain, Mr. Naresh Rao will assume responsibility as the CFO of Nova Medical Centers. Having worked in high profile roles in prestigious firms like Wipro, WNS Global Services and TVS Logistics, Naresh Rao has played a key role in many successful acquisitions.

In addition to these appointments, Nova has also brought on board Dr. Gayatri Ghadiok as Director, Operations, for its venture in the Fertility Care area, Nova Pulse IVF Clinics. Dr. Gayatri is a Histopathologist and Hematologist with close to thirty years experience in clinical practice. She has been the Medical Director of Fortis La Femme, a boutique hospital in South Delhi and in her last assignment, worked as Essential Health Technologies Adviser to World Health Organization (WHO).
