Author Geoff Thomson wants to raise childrens’ awareness about global warming with The Adventures of Greenhouse Mouse

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 7, 2011 -- The Adventures of Greenhouse Mouse is inspired by Geoff’s lifelong desire to save the remaining natural areas on this planet Earth. Global warming is just beginning to impact on our planet and future generations will be left to deal with the ramifications if nothing is done now to avert this growing problem.

Today's children are going to be the one who need to know now what they will be facing as they grow up which is why Geoff wrote The Adventures of Greenhouse Mouse, a light-hearted approach to a very serious subject that is designed to get young children thinking about it.

The first book describes the problems and the second, which is currently in production, explains what we can all do to help reduce CO2 in our atmosphere. Rather than taking a serious, very factual approach, The Adventures of Greenhouse Mouse uses a much friendlier and less threatening approach to introduce the subject to young kids. The book is beautifully illustrated with full-colour pictures. The children will sympathise with the characters in the book, helping them to connect the underlying theme of global warming to today’s society.

Half of the profits from the sale of this book will go towards further efforts to save our wildlife, forests, oceans and atmosphere.

About the Author:

Since the early 1980's, Geoff has had a keen interest in the debate over global warming. A meeting with a scientist in 1987 at the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) in England convinced him that there was a considerable problem with excessive human caused emissions of CO2. Since then, Geoff has worked with different groups that all had one common goal - to save nature from destruction at the hands of human beings. Mostly my efforts have been in the area of Old Growth Forest protection within Australia, including Tasmania's Franklin River and SW Wilderness area.
