Here is the GREEN part of the picture. Juniper is cut to control the uptake of water from the central Oregon range land. The tree is a native but out of control due to wild fire management. 6.5 million acres of Juniper are spread across the range and grass lands of Oregon. Oh, and one more thing.... IT IS LESS COSTLY THAN CEDAR AND SAFER AND LONGER LASTING THAN PRESSURE TREATED!!! This is a no brainer. The stuff works and it works better than anything else.
