Ryanair Chief Welcomes the CC ruling but intends to bring a legal challenge to BAA
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 22, 2011 --
Michael O’Leary has welcomed the Competition Commission’s ruling to force BAA into selling London Stansted but has insisted he intends to bring legal proceedings against the airport operator over inflated airline charges. Mr O’Leary has accused BAA of profiting from a Monopoly of power and will seek to recover excessive charges his company has paid.
Mr O’Leary claims the airports accounts show massive inter group and head office charges being made in an attempt to hide how much inappropriate profit BAA is exploiting at Stansted.

However BAA will make one last legal challenge on the ruling to sell London Stansted and one of its Scottish airports, a BAA spokesman said they were “dismayed” at the recent ruling and would fight to the end to keep its airports.
