The first serviced apartment brand to develop a mobile application that allows guests to connect to their Oakwood neighborhood

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 18, 2011 -- Oakwood Asia Pacific has become the first serviced apartment brand in the region to develop a unique mobile application for their guests’ use.

Revolving around the concept of connecting guests and residents with their ‘Oakwood Neighborhood’, the mobile app provides exclusive local knowledge on essential shops, restaurants and bars as well as local schools, banking facilities, transportation and hospitals situated in the immediate neighborhood of Oakwood Asia Pacific properties. The app also connects guests to a mobile-friendly booking engine where real-time bookings can be completed. Free for download from iTunes, users enjoy the convenience and flexibility that a typical Oakwood experience offers.

An integrated digital experience awaits all guests and users of the app. The Oakwood Neighborhood website includes a series of activities centered on the theme of ‘neighborhood’. In a Create Your Own Neighborhood Competition, users are invited to submit suggestions and recommendations of local merchants as part of their personalized Oakwood neighborhood. Each submission enters the user into a monthly lucky draw to win free stays at Oakwood Properties across Asia Pacific.

There will also be a Neighborhood Video Competition where users can submit videos of their experiences exploring a local neighborhood, from meeting the fastest coffee barristers in the city to a short cut to avoid the rush hour traffic.

‘At your Service’ is for long-term guests who book a minimum of one month and have special requests prior to their move-in date. These can range from stocking the kitchen or framing family photos, and all they have to do is fill up the request form so that Oakwood staff can make the necessary arrangements in time for their arrival.

The ‘Oakwood Neighborhood’ campaign marks our commitment to providing a home away from home for our valued guests through connecting them with their community and neighborhood via the friendly mobile application, as well as bespoke services tailored to individual needs.”

If all this wasn’t enough, Oakwood will also have specially packaged offers that allow guests to experience its neighbourhood with inclusions such as luxurious spa treatments or tickets to the city zoo.

The Oakwood Neighborhood campaign activities will be rolled out in a series throughout the year.
