Obama Administration 2013 Fiscal Budget Available for Download

On Monday, February 13, the Obama Administration released its traditionally published fiscal budget for 2013. At 11:15 AM White House time that same day, the budget was made available for electronic download to Androids, BlackBerrys, iPhones, and other smart mobile devices. The hard-copy budget comes in four volumes and costs $218. According to the Government Printing Office (GPO), about 2,500 copies of the federal budget have sold in the past few years, a number much lower than usual. The federal government has been printing its annual budget each year since the early 1920s.

The remainder of the budget, both the printed version and the mobile app version, contains the budget itself, historical tables, “Analytical Perspectives,” and appendices. Downloads are available online at the digital data systems center for the US government.
