United States of America -- Free-Press-Release.com-- Jul 4, 2010 -- The National Office Managers Association of America (NOMAA) announced today that they are ready to accept members to their newly founded association for office managers from all types of businesses across America.
NOMAA is a sister association of Physician Office Managers Association of America (POMAA) that made its debut June 1, 2008. When asked why NOMAA was created the answer was really quite simple stated the founder/executive director of each association, Desiree R. Baylin, "We were getting inquiries from office managers in all types of businesses and we realized there was a need for an association such as NOMAA."
NOMAA will offer benefits to its members that will help keep their offices compliant and up-to-date when changes affect them. They will have a 24 hour 7 days a week listserv to interact with other office managers from all over America in addition to general policies and procedures to help run businesses and they will offer certification in office management by the end of the 2010 year. The Certified Office Manager (COM) certification will highlight general office management to include: Principles of Management, Human Resource Issues, Employment Law, and more. In the event a member holds another office management certification they will offer reciprocity for the COM certification. There will be no need to take their exam if you wish to have their credential. They are also hopeful that they will be able to hold their first conference and/or seminar as early as 2012.
Since they are a newly founded association they will be offering memberships for a very low annual fee of $50.00 to the first 500 members that join. After the members first year of membership the fee will increase to $125.00 annually. "We are also seeking corporate sponsors for our association," stated Ms. Baylin. Corporate sponsors may join NOMAA for a low annual fee of $200.00 for their first year with the association. After the first year of corporate sponsorship the fee will increase to $500.00 annually.
NOMAA welcomes members from all types of businesses including, but not limited to the following: Law, Healthcare, Retail, Industrial, Construction, Manufacturing, and Veterinarian offices, etc. "We will not turn away any individual that is in a management position within their business. There is a real need for this type of association, as management personnel are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with the changes concerning businesses," said Ms. Baylin.
