International relations are all about friendship. Friendships boil down to individual’s ability to break away from limiting barriers and build on shared values. For many years, my individual friendships go beyond international borders, reaching from rural south Mississippi to almost all continents.

As Chairman/CEO of The International Sibling Society, I have observed and experienced huge divisions melt away while strong friendships based on shared goals rise up together to replace them.

My family and I now feel that the time has come for me to seek elected office. I want to offer the people of Mississippi’s Fourth Congressional District the power to move past limiting barriers.

As you know, I have always been concerned about our energy dependence. I believe there are workable solutions available to harvest renewable energy. I would like to see Mississippi lead the nation in solar power conversion. I would like to see Mississippi families in the energy business, selling excess solar power back to electric companies across the grid.

Another important issue I feel strongly about is education. Mississippi ranks poorly in academic achievement. It is possible that our sight has focused so narrowly on test scores that we’ve lost our vision. I believe we should expand our horizon—and our curriculum.

To succeed in this effort, I need to mount an aggressive campaign. My opponents are all alike. It is for this reason that I have decided to offer the voters of Mississippi’s Fourth Congressional District the opportunity to break away from the limitations of the past and move bravely forward.

This campaign will require a strong and organized grassroots organization. With brochures, flyers, yard signs, advertising, canvassing, I cannot do this alone. That’s why I’m inviting the people that know me best to join my campaign and help make a real difference.

An early contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or $2500, made payable to the Committee to Elect Cindy Burleson, will help raise the initial funds needed to launch the campaign.
