(Norman, OK) – Taking up the cause of helping families in need this holiday season, OMS Technologies, Inc. is holding a donation drive for Norman’s Food and Shelter, Inc. The donation drive begins December 5th and runs through December 21st.
Food and Shelter is an organization which helps homeless and disadvantaged people in the Norman area. It provides housing, food, clothes and job assistance. This year, Food and Shelter has experienced an increased need for their services.
OMS Technologies will serve as a “drop-off” for the items needed by Food and Shelter. These items include food and kitchen needs, clothing, household items, unwrapped toys and, of course, money donations. The donations are tax deductible. OMS Technologies wants other businesses to help with this worthy cause and will provide drop off boxes to those who wish to participate. OMS Technologies is located in the eTec2 Building at 3209 N. Flood Avenue, about a quarter mile south of Tecumseh Road. Donations can be delivered between 8am and 5pm, weekdays.
“Once I toured the Food and Shelter facility last month, I knew I had to do my part to help such an incredibly giving and caring organization. My hope is for other people and businesses to join us in gathering as much as we possibly can for people so desperately in need,” says OMS Technologies CEO Agi Lurtz.
“Unfortunately, there are an ever-growing number of families with young children in our community who lack the resources to live full, healthy lives. These families turn to Food and Shelter for support with food and housing issues. Donation drives like this one truly make it possible for us to help these families make lasting changes,” said April Doshier, Executive Director of Food and Shelter.
