Olympic Cross County Ski competitor Caitlin Compton looks forward to leading the US team in the quest for success in the up coming winter Olympics in Vancouver.

29 year old Caitlin Compton of has spent the last 8 years striving to succeed on the international Cross Country ski Circuit and has finally been given an opportunity to compete on the US Olympic Squad. However not being on the standing US team she has overcome a tireless quest to independently qualify and be named to the elite team for the upcoming games. Currently she lives and trains in Minneapolis enjoying the best of both worlds of living in a City with an amazing parks system that allows outstanding training in both summer and winter.

Born in New York City November 7, 1980 and learned to ski on weekend trips up to Vermont with the family. She first started serious competition in cross country running in high school and made the switch from Alpine to Nordic Skiing during her sophomore year in High School. Following High School she Attended Northern Michigan University on multiple sport scholarships and received NCAA All-American awards in both Cross Country Running and Nordic Skiing multiple times. When not skiing during the summer she has trained in New York’s Central Park and at the boardwalk of Santa Monica Beach CA.
Since College she has trained and maintained her fitness and skills by continuously training following a rigorous training program that she developed with coaches and trainers.
She is looking forward to maintaining her quest for success and maintains direct contact with press and interested editors.
