Online Business Tips: Classic Self-Help Guidebook Revisited!
Nancy Collins is a member of a global group of internet marketers studying the principles offered in How To Win Friends & Influence People, by Dale Carnegie.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) October 29, 2009 --
Ms. Collins has agreed to keep us posted weekly on her progress.
“Have I told you how much I love this book?” Collins asked with a grin.
The topic of winning people to your way of thinking continues with some logical, yet often ignored, suggestions. These are great ideas to incorporate into your direct sales marketing.
• Appeal to a person’s desire to be sincere, honest and truthful. They will make every attempt to prove you right.
Most people believe that these characteristics apply to them, yet the news is filled daily with contradictions to this belief.
• Listen to the wants and desires of others as you would like to be listened to. Be sympathetic and understanding.
We all have wants and desires and we like to talk about what we want, our dreams.
• Try to see things from the other person’s point of view before making judgments.
If we all saw the world from the same point of view, imagine the congeniality, albeit very boring!
• When trying to win someone to your point of view, present your ideas in a factual manner and let the other person mull it over.
If the idea is right for them, they will come to the same conclusion, but will think that the idea was their own. Let your internet marketing business prospects convince themselves that yours is the right opportunity for them.
• Let the other person do most of the talking.
There is an old saying; you have two ears and one mouth, try to use them in proportion, talk half as much as you listen. People will often talk themselves into the conclusion you are suggesting without any further talk on your part. This approach is a great one to use for your online business opportunity.
“I’m still trying to catch myself when I deviate from the principles I’m learning, but no one said it was going to be easy!”
We’ll get back to Ms.Collins next week as the topic moves into the principles of being a leader.
She invites you to visit her blog and check out the videos she’s done on these topics at www.NancyECollins.net
