ORANGE COUNTY, CA - Vanguard Commercial announced Tuesday that Inland Real Estate Group has awarded the retail leasing assignment of University House, a mixed-use development in Fullerton CA.

Fullerton, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) September 6, 2011 -- ORANGE COUNTY, CA - Vanguard Commercial announced Tuesday that Inland Real Estate Group has awarded the leasing assignment of University House, a mixed-use development with 30,000 square feet of retail, to the firm.

Vanguard's Travis Dunn, Cameron Irons, and Jon Davis will market the project that partially features over 1,100 rooms of student housing at the northwest corner of Chapman and Commonwealth in Fullerton. The intersection is the planned gateway to the much anticipated Collegetown Redevelopment proposed by the city.

In recent years, the Collegetown target area has seen a handful of national food tenants enter the market including Chipotle, Starbucks, Five Guys Burgers, Panera, Yogurtland, San Sai, and Pick Up Stix, among others.

'With 7 major schools in about a mile radius including Cal State Fullerton, there is a real need for the convenient and accessible retail Inland is building," said Dunn, who has been with Vanguard for 7 years. "We have already begun to see interest from national brands as well as local operators."

Dunn is referring to Cal State Fullerton, Hope University, Western Law School, College of Optometry, Troy High School, La Vista High School, and Eastside Christian.

Inland broke ground on the project at the beginning of the month and intends on completing it by the summer of 2013.
