Talking about the production process of the brooch, a senior manager explained, “The production of the brooch starts with the die casting process. Two silicon moulds, one with hollow and the other with engraved design are taken. They are placed in a machine with a rotatable base and a fixed cover. The fixed cover is fitted with a cylindrical vessel. When alloy liquid is filled in the vessel from the top of the machine, the swirling action of the rotatable base make the liquid to fill the gap between the negative and positive mould. The casted products are then taken for the plating process.”

In the plating process, the metal clips are hooked one by one in clusters with copper wire. The clusters are then placed into plating liquid. Quality of plating varies with time length of the metal soaked in plating liquid.

The senior manager further explained, “After the electro-plating process the clusters are baked in oven. After baking, the clusters are taken out and the plated parts are dispersed. They are coloured by soft enamel which is injected by hand. One colour is injected at a time and excess colour is wiped off by using cotton stick. After smearing they are again baked in oven. After the plating process, rhinestones are attached to the metal clips with glue by hand. In the last stage, clip assembling is done with the help of a stamping machine.”
