Its safe to say that when you buy seafood from Maine it going to be organic . That means all natural . Yes mussels are farmed , oysters are farmed , seeds are sown for clams , lobster are pounded or tanked , but there are no growth hormones used anywhere because they simply are not needed . Mother nature can throw a little confusion into the mix with red tides , and rare bacterias that can affect the quality or the safty of the seafood we sell but thats what regaulations are for. I know that growth hormones are a thing we worry about in our milk , our bread our beef and eggs , although most of us have no idea what they actually are ,we just know thats what is not all natural is not good for us .
