Out Of The Shadows Art Exhibit

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 11, 2010 -- Out Of The Shadows is a monthly Art Exhibit held at the Carriage Inn, Ridgecrest,CA. Currently there are nine events per year (1 per month, Feb-Oct). Sponsored by the China Lake Naval Museum & Carriage Inn, with Grant Funding from Individuals and the Business Community. This event serves several purposes:

*The Out Of The Shadows art series is an effort to get the public (local & tourist) engaged in seeing some works of art from local and other participating artists

*A forum for young upcoming artists to mingle and learn from others and, to showcase their talents to the general public.
*Perhaps a real confident builder for some of our upcoming talented and younger generation, like 9-12th graders and
Cerro Coso Community College participants.
*A continuing effort towards keeping the public aware of a Navy Museum that preserves and displays unique achievements in naval air armament and technology and; through its' "Education in Science & Engineering Programs", challenge young minds to excel in the math and science studies.

Some previous events were sponsored by Jacobs Technology Naval Systems Group and NDTI.

The exhibit is open-free of charge to the public and participating artists. The grants cover refreshments (non-alcoholic) and hot hors d'oeuvres during the evening. A cash bar is available to the public. Room and setup charges are borne by Carriage Inn. No charges to participating artists.
