Ovalworld provides warehouse and distribution services for prestigious names such as Arthouse Home Decorations, one of the premium brands of wallcoverings and art products in the UK.

Ovalworld's warehouse, based in Blackburn Lancashire stores and distributes wallcoverings to many independent stores as well as the big DIY stores, such as B&Q and Homebase. Demand for these products has required Ovalworld to invest in a new warehouse management solution from Barcode-IT, who will install Dexterity WMS to manage the warehouse, which will integrate with Arthouse's Sage 500 ERP system, automatically receiving picking and shipping instructions and advice of incoming new stock from the factory.

Dexterity will direct twelve mobile workers, using Dex-S1 WiFi terminals and will control every aspect of the warehouse operation, resulting in smooth workflow and improving productivity. Barcodes will be used to identify product ID and batch control and will ensure perfect picking of orders and correct shipping labels to the SSCC EAN 128 standard.

Dexterity will also be managing the production of TNT and other carriers shipping labels, using a direct interface to the carriers on-line shipping systems. This is a recent and very popular addition to Dexterity's range of add on options.
