Padama awards seems to be a gift : be called back from tainted people - Sukanya Kadyan

People responsible for animal sacrifice and hunting are not eligible for Padama awards, their awards should be call back - Naresh Kadyan

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 30, 2010 -- The Padma Bhushan award being conferred on Balagangadharanatha, the head of the Adi Chunchanagiri Muth. It has been said that this Muth, under the stewardship of the current leader, runs over 450 educational institutions and over two dozen hospitals.

With reference to animals, however, Mr. Balagangadharanatha does not appear to have an unblemished record. It has been said that, of late, at least 30,000 sheep and goats have been offered 'in sacrifice' by this Muth and its followers to the deity, Bhairava. This clearly violates existing legislation, and a case is said to be pending in the courts against this recipient of the Padma Bhushan, claimed by Mrs. Vasumathi Krishnasami, animal rights activist in Bangalore.

Likewise Saif Ali Khan is an accused in wild animal hunting in Rajasthan, awarded by Padama Shri for arts without outstanding performances in the Indian cinema. The International Organisation for Animal Protection - OIPA in India representative Naresh Kadyan moved an petition under right to information act, 2005 to know the reasons behind, for recommendation and their approval, their outstanding contribution as well. Mr. Ashok Kumar Mittal and Mandheer Maan both vice chairman of the People for Animals Haryana are authorized to coordinate with other NGO's and activists of Bishnoi community. Media adviser to the International Organisation for Animal Protection - OIPA in India Abhishek Kadyan also moved to aware public and media as well.

Smt. Saroj Grewal stated that to restore pride and dignity of Padama awards, tainted people recognition may kindly be withdrawn at once with out any further delay, Mr. Sahil Grewal from United States endorsed his support to the cause. Mr. Darshan Singh Bishnoi, former Advocate General of Punjab going to move an public interest litigation on behalf of OIPA in India, Mahipal Bishnoi, Advocate of Bishnoi community in Saif Ali Khan black buck poaching case in Rajasthan also extended his support to this move. Darshan Bishnoi further stated that Naresh Kadyan, whistle blower in Nawab Pataudi black buck hunting case in Jhajjar still facing criminal trail for no reasons and Nawab Pataudi misused his daughter Soha Ali Khan riffle to kill female black buck along with two rabbits and Naresh Kadyan exposed this matter also using right to information act, 2005, her arms license was canceled with out any legal action against her. Naresh Kadyan further stated that this rifle was belongs to Nawab Pataudi's sister, which was transferred to Saif Ali Khan then Soha Ali Khan, without verifying the facts from Madhya Pardesh Police by the Gurgaon administration, in past Nawab Pataudi's family are also responsible for violating the legislation in Jammu and Kashmir, while hunting birds and they have killed thousands of rare species over there. OIPA in India appeal to Her Excellency the President of India through online petition to honour public opinion and call back Padama awards from tainted peoples, like Saif Ali Khan & other
