PALOS VERDES YOUNG PROFESSIONALS GIVE BACK AT THE P.V. STREET FAIR

This coming June 11th and 12th the Palos Verdes Young Professionals (PVYP) will be rolling up their sleeves and volunteering for the 2011 Palos Verdes Street Fair and Music Festival, presented by Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance and produced by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. They will also be raffling off TWO new Apple iPad 2s over the weekend to support their programs and events. “We are really excited to dive into our local community and get involved. The momentum we have is unbelievable and our board members are doing amazing things with this group,” says Melissa Griswold, co-chair of the PVYP.

The PVYP has placed a donation box at the PVP Chamber of Commerce’s information booth to collect funds for their 2011 charity/non-profit, the Peninsula Education Foundation (PEF). “We are so thrilled the PV Young Professionals would choose the Peninsula Education Foundation as their first charity to support. It is especially meaningful because many of their members do not have school age children. When they show their leadership in the community like this, they inspire others to give,” says Cheryl Ward, Development Director of the Peninsula Education Foundation.

The Palos Verdes Young Professionals are raffling off two Apple iPad 2s to raise money for their networking organization. Only 1200 tickets will be printed. These Verizon iPad 2s are valued at $629 each and come equipped with WiFi, 3G, and 16GB. Drawings will be held on Saturday June 11, 2011 and Sunday June 12, 2011 at the Palos Verdes Street Fair and Music Festival. Tickets are $10 each or three-for-$20 and may be purchased from PVYP board members, at the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce office or at the PV Street Fair Beer & Wine Garden.
