Pancreatic Cancer and Soda Link: Tip of the iceberg
The recent news about the link between sweetened soft drinks and pancreatic cancer may be just a hint of a bigger problem. Researchers at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health believe the high amounts of sugar in sodas are forcing the pancreas to produce excessive amounts of insulin. In turn this insulin could be exposing the pancreas to cancer risk.
“Still they seem to be missing the bigger picture,” say’s author M. Abdul-Malik. Too much sugar increases your cancer risk. “That’s what I’m hearing,” Abdul-Malik says. Abdul-Malik is the author of “Balanced Nature: Naturally curing diabetes, anxiety and living longer.”
The consumers need answers now. Think about it, if excessive sugar is exposing people to potential cancer risk, what’s the risk factor to other dietary starches with high glycemic loads? The FDA needs to do more research into this.
M. Abdul-Malik’s book Balanced Nature: Naturally curing diabetes, anxiety and living longer is available on amazon.com as a kindle download. It’s also available as a kindle for PC download.
