When you are suffering a panic attack, you have the feeling of this extreme anxiety over something. The panic attack comes right out of the blue with the sudden onset of the symptoms of your panic attack is endless. When having a panic attack it can feel like you are having a heart attack or you can feel like you are going to have a heart attack. It can also feel like your time is up and you are going to die. This is not the case typically you will not die from a panic attack, even though the feeling is very intense.

Symptoms of a panic attack will sometimes appear quite suddenly for no apparent reason. You body will react to the symptoms of the panic attack to this uncontrollable fear like racing or pounding heart beat, increased breathing or difficulty in your breathing, chest pains, hot flushes, chills, trembling, upset stomach or nausea, tingling or numbness of your hands, light-headed and dizziness. These symptoms are also felt in your mind having dreamlike sensation, losing control of yourself, you have just got to escape, felling of terror, doing something embarrassing or think you are going to die.

The biggest symptom of panic disorder is the fear to have more panic attacks. If a person has had a panic attack then they are more than likely to have more. What you will find is if you do suffer from panic attacks then what will happen is that most people will stay clear of the things or places that bring on there panic attacks or where you think a panic attack might happen. Like me I had a car accident now I will avoid getting in the car as much as I can, even though I’m getting better at being in the car but I still have the fear of it happing again. Which this could be called that I have a phobia of that situation. There is a difference between panic attacks and other types of anxiety as a panic attack can happen at any time and any place suddenly and unexpected. Panic attacks can occur without even being provoked and are often disabling. Once you fall into a pattern of avoidance and anxiety, it is said that you have a panic disorder. This panic disorder will have a huge impact on your day to day life; you must seek effective treatment ASAP. As for me this has changed my life so much it has put that much more stress on my partner and all of my children. Don’t be fooled panic attacks is a very serious health problem that there are about 300,000 Australians will suffer from panic attacks during their lifetimes. The peak age where a person might have there first panic attack is between the age of (15) fifteen and (19) nineteen.
