Paragon Honda will participate at the Upper Manhattan Auto Show during Harlem Week 2011

Woodside, New York, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) August 18, 2011 -- Together with American Honda (www.Honda.com), Paragon Honda (www.ParagonHonda.com) will participate in the 22nd Annual Upper Manhattan Auto Show, “Honoring the History of the Automobile.” The auto show is one of the most exciting events featured during Harlem Week, an annual initiative of the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce.

The Upper Manhattan Auto Show will convene on Sunday, August 21st, at 10 a.m. on West 135th Street between Fifth Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard, and will feature a parade through the heart of historic Harlem to the site of the show. American Honda will be exhibiting the 2012 Civic Hybrid and Paragon Honda will bring two 2012 Civics to display.

American Honda’s and Paragon Honda’s participation in this event in an example of how American Honda dealers and Japanese Honda manufacturers are working together to recover after the earthquake that took place in Japan earlier this year, bringing vehicle production to a drastic halt. Last April, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Japanese Foreign Minister Takeaki Matsumoto announced that their two governments have agreed to establish a public-private partnership for the reconstruction of Japan. Ambassador Shigeyuki Hiroki, Consul General of Japan in New York, will also be in attendance at the auto show.

To honor the history of the automobile, the day’s events will include great exhibitions of some special futuristic, new, vintage and collectible vehicles from the Northeast Region. A "Harlem VIP tent" will host attendees with special "HarlemHospitality" of foods, beverages and great company. Awards will be presented in several categories.
