Parents Fight Child Obesity By Getting Schools to Replace Junkfood with Healthy Vending Machines

All during my school years, I had nicknames ranging from Miss Piggy to Twinkie to Slimfast. Of course, back in those days skinny was the norm, so us "fat kids" really stood out like sore thumbs.

Sadly, the norm is changing. The number of overweight children in the United States is higher today than ever before in history, with 1 in 3 children being overweight or obese. If your child is part of this statistic, then you, as a parent, must take responsibility.

As a parent, your own eating habits and exercise habits greatly influence your child's.
