HYPE Youth Zone, Inc., established in 2004, develops those ages 6 to 25 through its signature program HYRE US Learning Institute in the areas of career development, educational attainment, health and wellness, and financial management through mentoring, coaching, and life skills training youth are equipped to lead in their families, schools, and communities. Veney Management Group, LLC, an established sports training and management company, provides physical conditioning and mental strengthening preparing youth to compete athletically on collegiate and professional levels, preparing them for careers in professional sports.

According to HYPE founder, Ms. Rhonda Scarbrough, who oversees operations, the partnership will provide young people and their families with a greater chance of enhancing their health, athleticism, character, and leadership skills. “Too many of our young athletes lack the type of support and mentorship they need to truly excel on a college and professional level. This partnership will provide our young people with a tremendous opportunity to embody leadership skills while honing their skills in the mechanics of the game while providing them with professional role models and mentors. Our goal is to impact the lives of 5,000 youth over the next year ensuring that they excel on and off the court.”

Keith Veney, CEO, Veney Management Group, LLC, a former professional athlete has operated sports training camps since 1995 and has trained and developed the skills level of NBA athletes Caron Butler, Paul Pierce, Nick Young, Ben Gordon, Rashad McCants, and WNBA players Chamique Holdsclaw, and Tina Thompson.
The partnership is effective immediately and will be implementing a series of skills development trainings, leadership trainings, special events and sporting camps throughout the year.
