The new “San Giuseppe” line, named following tradition after an Amato family member, operates entirely on production of long pasta, for classics such as Spaghetti and intricate Specialties such as the typical Ziti pasta from Campania.

Thanks to the Antonio Amato know-how of technological solutions, the original “San Giuseppe” line is one of a kind in the world with a full length of 73 meters and 9 meters in height. It has a product capacity of 3700 kilos of spaghetti per hour and 1000 kilos of specialty pasta per hour.

In the new line of “Specialty” pasta there are Spaghetti, Ziti and Zitoni, Mafaldine, Maccaroncelli, Mazzani, Bucatini, Fresine and Laganelle. The method of processing is that of bronze wire drawing, a specific technology which produces pasta with a rough, porous surface. This makes it very attractive to all the senses. The classic smooth wire drawing method is used in the production of standard pasta, a method which is normally used for pasta made with duram wheat flour.
