Freeport, Long Island, New York, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 13, 2010 -- WHAT: Perfecting Faith Church invites needy individuals and families from Long Island and New York City to its annual Christmas Holiday Feast.

WHO: Hosted by Pastor Donnie McClurkin and Perfecting Faith Church, a nondenominational Christian congregation of more than 3,000 members in Freeport, N.Y., on Long Island’s South Shore.

WHEN: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010.

WHERE: Perfecting Faith Church, 311 N. Main St., Freeport, N.Y. 11520.

COST: FREE.

This Christmas, Pastor Donnie McClurkin and members of Perfecting Faith Church invite the community and all those in need to their annual holiday feast.

The four-hour event is one part of the church’s evangelistic mission to show Jesus Christ’s love in action through service to the community and outreach to the lost, says Pastor McClurkin, a world-renown, Grammy Award-winning gospel singer and Amityville, N.Y. native, who was inducted this fall into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.

On Saturday, all who are hungry or alone this holiday season are welcome to come to the church and enjoy warm fellowship, hear joyous praise and worship singers and eat a hot, delicious meal in the 800-seat sanctuary, which will be transformed into an elegant dining hall.

After dinner, guests also will be invited to the visit the temporary “holiday store” downstairs, where they will be able to choose from an assortment of donated clean and gently used clothing and accessories for men, women and children to take with them.
