Pat Horan of The Town Of Hempstead New York Blasted By Radio Host Joshua-Paul Angell After He Viewed "Kill The KItty" On YouTube; Airs Two Hour Activist Radio Show!

My audience knows me as an animal activist and I was not afraid to speak up."

I was not the only one. I had asked them to come on the show and gotten no response. Even when I called during business hours, I was given a recording to call back during business hours."

"Town of Hempstead animal shelter acting director Pat Horan has been reassigned to a position outside of the shelter, according to Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, pending the outcome of an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a youtube video that depicted Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter employees making obscene gestures, and chanting "Kill the kitty," which quickly went viral on YouTube. The video shows a former private, non-town animal hospital employee handling a kitten, and a Town of Hempstead kennel worker. An off-camera voice is heard giving the direction, "kill the kitty." Horan can be seen in the video. The town will be conducting a search for an animal shelter director immediately. Problem is, Pat Horan was paid $100,000 as a shelter director, and has been reassigned to a new position RETAINING her salary! Last December, three animal rescue volunteers filed a lawsuit against the Town of Hempstead, Supervisor Kate Murray and seven other employees after the volunteers were banned from the town’s Wantagh animal shelter — where they had worked for years — for what they say is retaliation for speaking out to shelter employees and town officials about abuse and neglect. Bleaching a puppy to death is just one of the allegations made by volunteers – now banned – at the Hempstead Animal Shelter in NY. The volunteers claimed at a recent town board meeting to have witnessed these additional abuses:
Shelter staff beating pets
Leaving pets to suffer and die in their cages
Dogs who were kicked, hung by leashes
Emaciated dogs left to lay in blood and feces in their cages
Needless killing of shelter pets.
