Patrick Visser launches latest Silva Tree project

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 20, 2009 -- The Princess Project is a pioneering reforestation venture in central Panama. 1000 hectares of land, currently used for cattle grazing, are being reforested with the fast growing tree Paulownia Elongata (also known as Princess Tree or Empress Tree).

Patrick Visser, Founding Director of Silva Tree says “Paulownia is a fascinating species, believed to be the fastest growing hardwood in the world. It can be harvested 4-5 times in the space of just one Teak harvest and it provides an array of environmental benefits, from soil regeneration to an extraordinary rate of carbon dioxide uptake.”

Headed by Patrick Visser, the project’s prelaunch period ran from the 15th July to the 15th August and constituted the first phase of the Princess Project. Plots of land within the project were sold at discounted prices, available exclusively to existing Silva Tree customers and agents. The prelaunch went exceeding well with all units selling out in a record time of 3 weeks, causing the first phase of the project to be extended to include more plots to meet demand.

The full launch was released to the public by founding Director Patrick Visser from the company’s new North London offices. Units are on sale for 30,000 USD until the end of December 2009.
