(Free-Press-Release.com) October 4, 2011 -- MS Volvo dealer Paul Moak Volvo announces its sponsorship of the 3rd annual Renaissance Euro Fest Classic European Auto and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Renaissance in Ridgeland, MS from 10 am. until 6 p.m. Free registration for a European Vacation Package, courtesy of Paul Moak Volvo, will take place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Volvo display in front of Barnes & Noble Bookstore.

Over 100 exceptional and rare autos and motorcycles are expected to be on display at this free event. In addition, the Southern Delta Region Rolls Royce Owners’ Club will rally for its annual meeting at the Euro Fest, which is expected to attract at least 25 Rolls Royce and Bentley autos from MS, LA, AR, TX, AL and Western TN. The Magnolia Region Porsche Club of America will feature a corral of 15 to 20 newer Porsches shown by their owners.

The 2009 and 2010 Euro Fest shows drew an estimated 10,000 to 14,000 spectators who were able to view the autos and motorcycles up close as well as take unlimited photos. Spectators and autos will be coming from seven states to see this one of a kind collection, from five different countries, which has become a most successful regional event. On display were Mercedes Benz, Ferrari, Alfa Romero, Jaguar, Austin Healy, MG, Volvo, Land Rover, Maserati, Rover, Morgan, Volkswagen, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, BMW, and Porsche. Triumph and BSA motorcycles were also shown. All of these and more are expected for viewing this year and will be positioned on the walk ways throughout the Renaissance Center, allowing for casual walk along viewing.

Food vendors will be on hand selling pasta, pizza, fish and chips, Italian Sausage, bratwurst, Panini sandwiches, and other European foods. Authentic German musicians will also play live music in a beer garden.

A Swedish section will be located outside of Barnes & Noble Bookstore at Renaissance throughout the auto show. The S60 features a world’s first in automotive safety technology: Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake. The vehicle can detect a pedestrian moving into the path of the vehicle, warn the driver, automatically brake, and bring the S60 to a complete stop at speeds less than 22 mph. Last year 4,700 pedestrians were killed in motor vehicle accident in the US. Half of these fatal accidents occurred at speeds of less than 16 mph.
