The Ford F-150 came out on top as the 2011 Truck of the Year. Drivers in the Staunton, VA area can now experience the F-150 Truck of the Year at Paul Obaugh Ford. The F-150 was given this honor for its design, performance, and capability.
Motor Trend magazine chose the Ford F-150 as the 2011 Truck of the Year. The magazine commented on the truck’s versatile and high-quality interior. The F-150 has plenty of versatility with its SuperCrew trim that offers a 60/40 split rear seat for more storage space. Even more space is available in the large bins inside the door panels. For a comfortable ride, the F-150 contains Quiet Steel, a noise-absorbing headliner, and a stiff frame and body to eliminate road noise.
In addition to design, the Ford F-150 offers best-in-class towing and payload. The F-150 can tow a total of 11,300 lbs with its trailer. Its Trailer Sway Control helps the truck safely maneuver with all that weight. The truck’s payload capacity is 3,050 lbs. To help increase the F-150’s performance while towing and hauling around all this weight, the truck has a 6-speed automatic transmission with a towhaul model to increase performance.
Solid performance is also provided when driving the Ford F-150. Motor Trend magazine said that the EcoBoost engine was what stood out the most about the truck’s performance. The Platinum trim offers a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that gives drivers the performance of a V8 but the fuel economy of a V6. The F-150 can achieve up to 22 MPG on the highway. The EcoBoost engine delivers an impressive 420 lb-ft of torque and 400 horsepower.
