For instance, Orange will be selling the to be launched in January, 2011 handset from HTC Corporation,t eh HTC Gratia for £ 99 as pay G handset.

If only they can manage the top ups well, most users of contract phones or the SIM free mobile phones also will not mind continuously using Pay As You Go Phones. If you take the example of network carrier Vodafone, which is actually the second largest network company in the UK, it is found to be actually lagging behind its rivals when it comes to selling pay as you go phones. Vodafone has been able to sell only 10 million pay G handsets as against 15.6 million figure of Orange and 11.5 million pay G customers of O2.

Now, Vodafone is keen to rectify this. It has embarked on a advertising blitzkrieg to boost its pay as yu go mobile phone sales. The network carrier is obviously keen on cashing in on the November-December key shopping period. It has launched this advertising exercise and calling it the “Top Up and Get” campaign. Vodafone has reportedly pumped in a huge investment of £ 10 million for the campaign.

Under this offer, Vodafone will be offering awards and incentives galore including extra texts, data browsing and international calls every time a valued customer tops up his or her pay G account. Incidentally, a third of all pay as you go phone handsets get sold during this end of season November-December.No wonder every other smartphone handset selling in the market place seems to be going Pay G. Even otherwise, those users wanting to make more than a couple of international calls prefer pay as you go phones as it is simple, efficient and by and large all smartphones are covered by one or the other network carrier under their Pay G schemes.
